HICKORY RIDGE RETREAT · Great McCall Location w/ Hot Tub & Large Yard

This property is not a 5 bedroom 3 bath property. There are 3 bedrooms and a loft with beds in it. It is only a 2.5 bath house. We had a group of 10 adults and we made it work! Obviously when we got there was too late to get alternative housing. I have done this for several years and have never had a problem with the listings. I always filter for 5 bedrooms and minimum 3 baths because of the number of people who will be there. There was 1 washcloth in the house and there was no coffee pot. A previous tenant brought a coffee pot back, but that was already after some in our party had purchased a one.

Came to McCall for our son's wedding with 11 family members. The house was clean, comfortable, and big enough for all of us to have space. We used the grill, hot tub and fire pit. It was nice to have those amenities.

All bedrooms were nice size. The bathrooms are large. The stepin shower would be hard for elderly people. It was nice to use the garage to keep fishing gear out of site. It all worked great for 10 of us.

This is a good property on the west side of McCall. Lots of space for adults and kids or for a larger party (we had 8). The place was clean, beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well provisioned. We used the hot tub one time and the temp was right but it's a little small for more than a couple of people. Overall, the host is very particular about timing and early checkin/checkout is penalized with monetary fines, which seemed a little over the top as we stood in the driveway waiting for the final few minutes to click down before entering. Same thing with the departure... 10am is pretty early to get everything cleaned up, packed and ready for the cleaners to come.Overall, good communication with the place. The price seemed high until we compared it to others at the same size... I'll say it was reasonable.

The minute we walked in it felt like home. we did notice that in two of the bathrooms the doors that kept the shower water in were loose and water seem to get on the floor, which will eventually cause a lot of damage if not repaired. Also a small fix would be good to put batteries in the clock so the time was correct. It would also seem a lot more cared for if that were to happen. But besides that it was a great cabin very well equipped, and comfortable we hope to return.
